Consultation: Muller Road Recreation Ground Tree Planting

Look at our plans for native woodland patches on Muller Road Recreation ground, and comment by February 11th by contacting reallywild@lockleazent.co.uk

The Really Wild Lockleaze Project is working with local residents and One Tree Per Child to plant trees on Muller Road Recreation Ground, on the steep slope across the middle, below the main pitches.

It will be a woodland planting of 333 native trees in five patches with paths in between. The species of tree will be a mix of goat willow, bird cherry, hornbeam, lime, hazel, hawthorne, silver birch, crab apple, field maple, oak, elder and rowan. Thousands of wildlife species depend on trees for food and shelter. By absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, trees help to combat climate change.

The plans for the tree planting are shown in the photo, and we invite any comments on these by February 13th to reallywild@lockleaze.co.uk. Get in touch with us if you want to help us plant the trees!
