Take Part in the City Nature Challenge in Lockleaze

City Nature Challenge is an epic global mission to record as much wildlife as possible, across 4 days, from Friday 25th April – Monday 28th April 2025. Join us in the West of England as we join forces to collect more records of biodiversity across our region on iNaturalist, at the same time as 650+ other city regions across the globe! You can take part on your own, or come and join us at our events in Lockleaze.

Events in lockleaze

Friday 25th April

10am - 1pm at Lockleaze Sports Centre Meet by the water tower, a few minutes walk from the main entrance to Lockleaze Sports Centre (grapes.youth.port on what3words).

2pm - 4pm at Thornycroft Close BS7 9YJ

Wednesday 30th April

2:30pm - 4:30pm at Stanfield Close BS7 9SY *this won’t count towards the City Nature Challenge, but it’s still great data for us!

Join us to identify local species with Community Ecologist Eric and help understand the effects of rewilding efforts in Lockleaze.No experience needed, just bring your curiosity!
