Lovely Evening at Lockleaze Nature Network

We had a lovely time at the Lockleaze Nature Network Autumn Feast last night- a big thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come out! We ate delicious soup from the Secret Soup Society, and cake supplied by Lockleaze Coffee Shop.

Twelve residents, as well as the Really Wild Lockleaze team, LNT CEO Melissa and Alex from Avon Wildlife Trust came together to chat about the wonderful things the Lockleaze community is already doing for nature, as well as what could be better and what the future could hold. You can see some of their thoughts and ideas here!

Residents said that it was great to get to know new people in the community- some neighbours even met for the first time! Others reflected on the good times they’d had planting trees at Muller Road Rec, and how it feels to see something that you’ve planted flourish nearly a year on.

We also heard from Lockleaze Community Orchard and Manor Farm Community Hub CIC about their exciting work- thanks to Derek, John and Anna for your updates. Remember, you can get involved with Lockleaze Community Orchard every second Sunday, 10 to 12:30.

Keep an eye out for more opportunities to get involved with shaping the future of the Really Wild project, and remember you can always get in touch at reallywild@lockleazent.co.uk with your thoughts and ideas.

See you soon!
