get involved
There are lots of opportunities to get involved with climate action both locally and nationally and we would love to support residents to continue to co-develop and deliver our climate action plan. We also love to hear what you are already doing and how we can support you. Ways to get involved include:
Community climate action facebook group - a great way to connect with other local residents interested in Climate Action
Regular community feasts and clothes swaps - contact us or join our mailing list to keep up to date
Do a litter pick or join our Constable Road project to turn waste ground to love ground - contact Maria to find out more
Join a Buy Nothing group or use freecycle, gumtree or eBay to avoid throwing stuff away and buying new
Support the campaign for a Lockleaze train station
Get involved with some of the partners listed below or on our topic pages

Lockleaze Community Orchard
is a project which has planted a community orchard along the Concorde Way cycle path between Constable Road and Bonnington Walk. This area was wasteland, covered in brambles, volunteers have cleared the site, planted native trees, do yearly mulching, pruning and harvesting and also a lovely community wassail.
We encourage local residents, schools and youth groups to become involved by helping clear the site, plant the trees, and then help with its maintenance, sharing the fruits of our labour.
We welcome children and young people who could learn about different fruit trees, growing, pruning etc. it is also a free healthy food available to all.
We are open to all!!
