Lockleaze anti Flytipping Project - help us decide!

In the summer of 2021, Residents worked with Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust and commissioned local artist, Scott Farlow, to discuss the ongoing issue of fly-tipping and to co-design imaginative ways of deterring it.  Our project focuses specifically on ideas for transforming the  problem site on Constable Road from a waste ground into a  loved ground.

The aims of the project were to consider and develop:

- An anti-fly-tipping CAMPAIGN

– To encourage and facilitate safe local activism and action,

- To raise wider awareness and  emphasise collective responsibility.

CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS – that propose imaginative   and sustainable options for ‘interventions’ at the  Constable Road site; between the footpath and the top of  the bank. The ideas seek to respect and value the presence  of the existing Sycamore trees and recognise the potential of  the bank as a wildlife sanctuary.

LOCAL CELEBRATION – using the project as a positive way  of acknowledging, sustaining, expressing and enhancing the  quality of our environment and the warm community spirit of  Lockleaze.

This is your opportunity to indicate your preferred option and submit your feedback. Together we can keep Lockleaze tidy.

We will also host an in person meeting on Tuesday 16th November 6pm-7.30pm at The Hub Gainsborough Square where we will present our findings and design options for Constable Road and invite you to pledge your support.
