LNT on Tour 2023 - how it went!

A massive thank you to all the residents who recently came out to share how they are making the most of their community at our door knocking and pop up events on 6 greens around Lockleaze.

Part of our programme of events to keep our community connected.

We delivered over 400 notification letters to near neighbours to let you know we were coming, had over 110 conversations and gave out 135 what’s on leaflet bags. 48 residents signed up to our newsletter and mailing lists to keep in touch.

You told us what you love about Lockleaze - Stoke Park, Green Spaces, Community Spirit and shared some of the issues causing you stress - Buses, Bereavement , Family issues and finances.

We played pop up tennis, football and sticky darts, made model houses and nature pledges and litter picked 11 full bags of rubbish too! We were joined by our Really Wild Lockleaze project team who bought
neighbours together to explore how they could make their street greens and gardens more nature friendly.

A big thank you to WESPORT, Lockleaze Police Beat Team, Lockleaze Foxes, My Community Mencap, Bcc Development worker and Dr Bike who serviced 4 bikes - your support and attendance was appreciated by everyone.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with residents we haven’t seen for a while and to meet some of our new residents who really appreciated the opportunity to meet some of their neighbours and learn more about their neighbourhood.

We were able to signpost and provide information for residents to take positive action on the spot, but most of all we were able to listen.

Thank you for talking to us. From all the team at Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust
