#ActiveLockleaze August Pop Up Event

#ActiveLockleaze is the partnership project between Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust and WESPORT-the aim-to help Lockleaze residents lead more active lives.

The sun came out and we had a fantastic time with over 250 residents of all ages attending and 99.5% of you walked or cycled!

We had 2 amazing performances from Alien Dance Co, some super talented young players from Ashley Down Old Boys RFC sharing their rugby skills, and an incredible 10 Ways to Play from We the Curious.

You tried Hula Hoops with Nati, found out about the proposed Temple quarter development and had health checks from HealthWatch. The pop up tennis was popular, as was the Lockleaze Police Beat Team and their vehicle.

Our Really Wild Lockleaze project team are delighted to report back that there has been an increase in hedgehog sightings locally - thank you all for adding to the nature and wildlife map.

Gainsborough Square was a hive of activity and it was a pleasure to see so many smiling residents making the most of their neighbourhood.
