Advice Drop-Ins at Hubbub Cafe- April to May

Everyone is welcome at Hubbub Cafe- we have hot drinks, sweet treats and fruit, with lovely lunches from Boing! during the school term. Every Wednesday 10:30 to 13:30 at the Hub.

You can also get free, drop-in advice. See below for the timetable and find out about each service.


Housing and money advice

Housing Matters and Clean Slate will be at Hubbub from 11:00 til 13:00 on the 9th and 23rd April and 7th and 21st May.

These drop-ins are first-come first-served, so come as soon as you can to make sure you can be seen.

Housing Matters can offer advice on homelessness, social housing, temporary accommodation, disrepair, overcrowding, landlord issues, housing related benefits, court proceedings related to housing and more. Find out more about them here.

Clean Slate offer advice on money, getting online, getting vouchers. They also publish Quid’s In, a magazine full of advice on making your money go further- why not pick up a copy from the Hub?

Tea and Tech will be at Hubbub on 2nd and 16th April.

Bristol Tea and Tech are running free drop-ins where friendly volunteers can help you develop your digital skills and confidence. Whether you have no experience of computers, or just want to update your skills, we can help. Bring your own smartphone, tablet or laptop, or use one of theirs. Bristol Tea and Tech is run by North Bristol Advice Centre.

Lockleaze Councillor Surgeries

Meet Cllrs Heather Mack and David Wilcox, local councillors for Lockleaze Ward. This is your chance to discuss any issues or ideas relating to council-run services. They are scheduled to be at Hubbub from 12pm on the 16th April and 21st May.

WorkWell is a programme providing support to people with health conditions. It could help you to return to work, to get the right support to stay in work or to find new, suitable work. They will be at Hubbub from 11:00 to 13:00 on the 2nd April- it’s a really good opportunity to find out about what they can do or if they are right for you. Find out more or self-refer here.


Bristol Disability Equality Forum

Dan from Bristol Disability Equality Forum is at Hubbub every Wednesday from 10:30 to 12:00. This is a chance for anyone who identifies as a Disabled person to discuss any issues that may affect them. Plus, it’s a chance to meet new people, build up confidence, and make plans for the future!

Bristol Disability Equality Forum are a Deaf/Disabled led organisation addressing local and national issues around inclusion and equality issues.
