#ActiveLockleaze April 2023 Pop Up Event

We had fun in the sun this April at our #ActiveLockleaze pop up event on Gainsborough Square. It was great to see so many residents discovering the amazing opportunities available in Lockleaze, trying them out and finding out about the special offers for local people. 

So whether you attended to try a taster activity or sport, have a health check, work out ways to address your wellbeing, how to get discounts for travel or needed to connect with nature- THANK YOU for coming!

We had 2 fantastic dance performances and an amazing Aikido demonstration showcasing the talent and achievements of our younger residents.

Over 150 residents attended, 82 aliens were created, 5 bikes were fixed, 60 found out more about netball, over 50 tried Padel4All,  30+ wildflowers and sunflowers were potted up, 15 had health checks, 55 what's on bags were given out.

‘It was an awesome event  - great to see so many smiley faces on the square!’

 It was incredible to see all ages getting involved!

Can't believe this was free!

A massive thank you to all of our community partners who provided the tasters and activities- and who made the event such a success. Go Team Lockleaze!
