AGM 2020

We usually hold our Annual General Meeting just before the school holidays. It is a great opportunity to reflect on the year just passed, eats some yummy food with friends and say thank you to everyone who has contributed to making their community great by working with Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust. This year we were in lockdown so we postponed the AGM till November - naively thinking it might be all over by now or at least in abeyance and we could have a lovely - if socially distanced get together, pre-Christmas madness, to be thankful we are all still together and LNT is still going strong.

Instead it has been necessary to host the evening on zoom. This is not as fun, and some people spend all day on zoom at work and are screen-fatigued, some don’t like using that sort of technology at all and won’t attend - we are very aware it is less than perfect. For us, pre-Covid seems a million years ago and reflecting on that year has been helpful to remind us about the massive progress we have made in our community plan, community led housing, art projects in Lockleaze, and climate related activity such as Lockleaze Loves Solar, as well as just keeping afloat so we can maintain a vital community space which is much needed by the community. We are legally required to host an AGM, and we want to be as open and transparent and accountable as a charity about who we are and what we do. So although less than perfect to do it online (so we’ll make it a bit of a shorter event) we would still love it if you would join us. For those that can’t make it we’ll make a recording available and the minutes so you can catch up after the event. Please contact Suzanne@lockleazent.co.uk (Chief Executive) or James@lockleazent.co.uk (Chair of Trustees) for more information about the AGM or any related LNT activity.
