Home-Made Lockleaze - Community Workshop 2 - 17th March 2022
Hello All,
It has been fantastic to be back out in the neighbourhood speaking with people again about what is important to them for the future of Lockleaze and the future of this site.
Following comments from the first engagement event (which you can read about here) we decided to break the day into two sessions:
The first was visiting the site itself, taking the conversation to near neighbours to talk in more detail about their concerns and discuss our initial ideas about how the project could address them within existing site constraints.
The evening session was up at the Hub and open to the wider neighbourhood. We discussed with residents the initial layout for the scheme, showing levels of parking, position of homes, open spaces etc. We also asked for input on specific questions around design, form, scale and landscape ideas around fruit trees for the site.
For both events we created a booklet that attendees could take away with them to learn more and give further feedback into the project. For those who weren’t able to make it on the day, you can view and complete the booklet by downloading it here. If you have trouble completing the pdf please contact us and we can send you a hard copy or send you a word version to complete.
You can also find the ongoing survey around principles to be prioritised here.
We are now planning the third and final workshop before setting proposals that will go in for planning. This will take place during the week starting April 11th, Venue TBD. We will also present the final scheme to the community before submitting our planning application.
As always, if you have any questions about the project please feel free to get in touch at alex@lockleazent.co.uk or call the Hub on 0117 914 1129.
