Get Growing Course, Community Feast and Rewild Lockleaze
Big thanks to the 145 people that came to the Community Feast on 6th March and to the amazing staff and volunteers from the Vench.
It was an amazing event even though it was a little bit nippy, the atmosphere was brilliant! It was lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves and connecting. Siân and Isis (from Opa Rosa) had both young and old enchanted with their "Stone soup story".
Many thanks to the Secret Soup Society, for the amazing soup and dal and Hart's Bakery for the delicious crusty bread. It was so exciting to speak to so many enthusiastic people about our Climate Action plans including our Rewilding and Food growing projects in Lockleaze.
Do you have garden space you don't know what to do with? Would you like support to develop a wildlife haven, a low maintenance space or a food growing and nature friendly play space? We would love to work with you on what this could be and you could be part of our pilot programme to green and ReWild Lockleaze.
Are you and your neighbours interested in creating a nature friendly housing green? Playable elements, meeting spaces, food growing, connecting to neighbours and nature? Get in touch to find out more!
Also please join us on our FREE one day Get Growing Day course on the 23rd March with Incredible Edible Bristol! You will learn to grow food, whether that's on a windowsill, a balcony or a garden. We'll cover soil, seeds, propagation, composting and how to work with nature as your natural pest control. Vegetarian/vegan lunch provided.
As places are limited we encourage people to book by contacting The Hub on info@lockleazent.co.uk or 01179141129.
