Wednesday Wellbeing - Creative Health in Action Event

Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust and Unfold Community Arts were proud to be part of this city wide event recently, bringing together an amazing array of organisations and talented individuals and performers from all across Bristol.

The event was to showcase how culture and the creative arts, delivered at a grassroots level, support our communities to manage their health and wellbeing.

We had an exhibition of photos and pieces of art from our Art for Wellbeing group. This was part of a mini project creating space and opportunity for local artists and creatives to teach other residents, sharing their skills and passion through a variety of mediums.

We also had a film screening celebrating Lockleaze's long history of performing arts and drama, which featured the voices of previous performers sharing how being involved with a local production benefited their health and wellbeing.

Proud to promote Lockleaze wherever we go.

Did you know our Art for Wellbeing group has been meeting for over 10 years?

Bring your own project or get involved in a programme of activities supported by our Lead volunteer Ky. Its a  great place to connect, learn and create.

The first session is free and they meet every Thursday 10.30 am - 12.30 pm at The Hub.

If you would like to see the display we will have it in place in time for our Welcome Back to the Hub and Autumn AGM on Wednesday 13th November 6-8pm.

Our thanks to Sirona Healthcare for their support.
