Warm & Welcome Spaces

Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust are the coordinators for the Warm and Welcome Spaces for Lockleaze and Horfield.

We have 10 venues spread across our neighbourhoods,delivered by 10 amazing community partners. Some provide affordable food, some offer it for free, all provide a warm space that everyone is welcome to. All details are included on the attached map and leaflet.

We will be doing a ‘Spotlight On’ feature for some of the venues so you can get to know them too.

Today I would like to introduce DET Community Warm & Welcome space held @ Fairfield High School

Hi we’re DET Community and we are the sister company of DET Entertainment. We’ve been supporting the community by holding various events that support community members, encourage community cohesion and help tackle inequality since 2017.

We are proud to be a part of the national Warm Welcome Space supporting the residents of Bristol.
When you come along to our Warm & Welcome space you can expect a safe space where you can access : FREE Food & drink, wifi, phone charging, mobility scooter charging space, Arts & Crafts, Games & movies and socialise with no judgement.

Whether it’s just you or you chose to bring others along, we have something for all ages and our space is open and inclusive to all.

The best bits about our space has to be how intergenerational the interaction is and also how friendly everyone is. It’s lovely to see how comfortable the community feels when they come along.

We’ve had members that have come once to regular visitors and you are welcome to do either, even if it’s just to pop in, have something to eat and then pop off again - we won’t mind at all!
