Monday Motivation Young Little Pickers

Monday Motivation Blogs

These blogs celebrate residents achievements by sharing their personal stories.

We hope they inspire, motivate and encourage all residents to get involved and make a difference in our community.

This week we focus on Young People Litter Pickers- November Update

Here is the final update from the 4 amazing young people who have been litter picking in Lockleaze as part of their community volunteering.

This task has been towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Bronze Level.

They started in November and have been out and about each Saturday afternoon finishing the 12th litter pick last weekend.

The group has managed to collect 62 bags of litter, weighing 198.15 KG!

And they clocked up an impressive 65,500 steps!!

They learnt a lot of valuable skills along the way and they have really made a difference for wildlife and residents alike.

Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust has been delighted to support them taking such effective positive action to help keep Lockleaze tidy.

A massive thank you from your community - Well done everyone!
