Blooming Lockleaze walk
As part of our free guided walks programme we led a Blooming Lockleaze walk around Lockleaze Sports Centre.
Our walks help you get active, connect, explore and make the most of your neighbourhood.
We walked across Gainsborough Square and smelled the herbs planted there. We strolled on to Lockleaze Sports Centre and enjoyed spotting the variety of glorious flowers in the gardens along the way. The pond that was built a few weeks ago has settled in and already looks very natural. Some fruit trees were starting to show fruit and the blackberries were already ripening. We spotted butterflies and lots of bees and then rested on the benches while we listened to the many birds there. On the way back we popped into Buzz garden and spent some time identifying the fruit and vegetables growing there.
