#WellbeingWednesday - Walk in Stoke Park

As part of our free guided walks programme we led a walk to the BT Tower in Stoke Park. This was part of the  #BristolWalkFest.

Our walks help you get active, connect, explore and make the most of your neighbourhood.

Some of us hadn’t been to the park for quite a long time and so it was wonderful to see the recent developments completed like the designs on the floor on the entrance and the trim trail. Into the park and we saw the relatively new paths sweeping across the park – something that would make it more accessible for our friends. The park looked wonderful – swathes of buttercups across the fields in No Mow May. We enjoyed the views across Bristol near the beautiful rustic bench in memory of Stuart who led walks here, the goats around the historic gun emplacement, the iconic BT Tower, We then continued our walk short  down St Johns Lane to the orchard. Some left the group to continue their walk down through Purdown and the rest returned along the path, chatting, relaxed and happy.
