New Housing Update - Two-Bed Houses at One Lockleaze Development, Romney Avenue

We have been informed by the developers of the One Lockleaze development that the first eleven two-bedroom houses for affordable rent are due to be advertised on HomeChoice by Bristol CIty Council within the next one or two weeks. They are aiming for these homes to be ready to move into from the end of November.

50% of these homes will be allocated to people who meet the local connection criteria within the Lockleaze Local Lettings Policy (LLP). This means that if you are registered with HomeChoice and are eligible for the LLP, your bid will be given a higher level of priority. Therefore, it is important to ensure that your HomeChoice account is up to date and your bid is ready. For more information about the LLP, including a checklist of things to make sure you are eligible and ready to bid, you can find our Fact Sheet here.

If you have any queries about the LLP you can either contact Alex from Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust at alex@lockleazent.co.uk or attend the Housing drop-in at the Hubbub cafe Wednesday 23rd October 11am - 1pm, at the Hub.

For those that aren’t aware, the One Lockleaze development is located on the former Romney School site between Lockleaze and Cheswick village. The development will build 268 homes in total. Of these, there will be 121 market sale homes and 147 affordable homes made up of a mix of social rent homes (94) and shared ownership (53). For more info visit the development website: https://www.goramhomes.co.uk/developments/one-lockleaze/

Please note, this is an update to notify those looking for a 2 bedroom home. As we are not the housing provider we are unable to respond to direct queries regarding this development.
