Make some time to prioritise your own wellbeing this Spring

Life is busy, the lockdown was hard on everyone, and now prices are rising and money might be tight. It can be hard in all this to make some time for yourself, maybe it feels a bit indulgent. But taking time for yourself is an investment to keep you going through the tough times. Here are a few ideas that might interest you:

  1. Blooming Lockleaze - a free group of local residents, choose from daytime or evening sessions. Contact Amy or turn up. See what other residents have said about these sessions:

"I really enjoyed today it was so much fun. Really has made a difference don't feel so stressed now."

“I feel everyone needs this connection. The connection to this group, to nature and to ourselves. I feel so nourished.”

“I had been looking forward to this all week, it has been all I can think about. I love it!”

  2. Wellbeing Walks - we have recently started a monthly walking group as many residents said to us that they enjoy walking but want someone to go with. It’s a nice way to keep active and meet others. Next walk will be on Wednesday 11 May starting outside the Hub, Lockleaze on Gainsborough Square, meet at 10.30. Contact Jonathan if you want to find out more.

  3. Assess what you are already doing for your wellbeing and prioritise something you would like to do to invest in you - could be go for walk, connect with a friend, learn something new, get out in nature, or volunteering. We have developed a Wellbeing Passport - which includes this tool to assess where you are at and other helpful hints and ideas to get you focusing on your wellbeing. If you would like to speak to someone about prioritising your wellbeing, join a group, or get a hard copy of the full passport, pop in to the Hub or contact Jonathan our Wellbeing navigator, to find out more.
