Warm and welcoming community

We know that many people are worried about energy bills and hoping to minimise putting the heating on this winter. In response community partners across Horfield and Lockleaze are making warm and welcoming spaces available for people to come in, stay warm and connect with their community. Horfield Leisure Centre has also made shower facilities available at key times. Throughout the week, there is delicious hot soup provided by Secret Soup society for £1, and affordable tea and coffee. There is also a breakfast on a Friday morning at Ebenezer Church and a dinner available at St Mary and St James (well fed on Fridays)!

Below is the map and timetable, and we have hard copies available in the different venues. We will shortly be creating a dedicated page with local information. You can also see a map of spaces across the whole of Bristol here and further cost of living support here.

We were pleased to welcome 26 people at our warm and welcoming space today and it was a lovely community space for people to connect and keep warm, the soup was a hearty delicious carrot and coriander.
