Money, money, money: Support for small business and entrepreneurs

The last twelve months have been tough for businesses, but with a timetable for end of lockdown there is hope on the horizon. Additionally, there is lots of help on hand to keep local businesses trading, and make sure there are still jobs available. First and foremost check out Bristol City Council website to see what funding your business might be eligible for and claim early to avoid disappointment if funds run out.

Secondly check out the training, advice and support, events and webinars for businesses as part of the North and East Bristol Business Support Programme The NEBS programme offers businesses help to recover from the impact of COVID-19, as well as one-to-one support. Support packages include online workshops and training on a wide variety of topics, such as building resilience, trading online, financial management, securing funding, marketing and social media.

\Sarah Ives, Project Manager for NEBS, said: “I’ve worked with some extremely inspiring business owners from all walks of life, and it’s wonderful to see how much the free business support is benefiting them. I would encourage anyone with a business concept, all the way to existing businesses with up to 250 employees, to get in touch and make the most of the free service that’s available until March 2023.”
