Who you gonna call?

Today is full council and the first time that all the people we elected a couple of weeks ago come together to make decisions. This is particularly momentous because we no longer have a Mayor so this is the first time the full council will meet under the new committee system. In it they will agree who is in charge - chairing - the different committees and who else will sit and influence the decisions. This may all sound pretty dry but it includes decisions about what gets built where, how transport system is improved/dealt with, adult social care, environmental monitoring and climate change mitigation, waste and recycling collection, parks and libraries and other things that happen in our city. You can watch it live from 2pm, and the table below shows the proposed committee membership, so you know, in addition to your local Councillors, who you can contact about issues that concern you on the running of our city.
